Career Profile: Session Musician

Date: Mon, 26. April 2010 05:49:02
pSession musician work can be a great gig for a musician. You get to play with a lot of different artist, maybe even dabbling in a lot of different genres, and you're protected from a lot of the financial risk of actually being in the band (of course, with a big hit, that can cut both ways - but session work is a good way to make some reliable money, even while you're trying to launch your own solo/band career). Session musicians spend a lot of time in studios, but they often get to go out on the road, too. It will help you narrow your job search, and when you can talk specifically about why you want a certain job, you'll impress the people doing the hiring a lot more. So, which job is right for you?
